WHAT TO DO

This corner of the Yorkshire Dales offers so much for the visitor. The landscape itself is stunning, of course, ranging from wild, rugged moorland to lush, broad meadow-filled valleys. There are also lesser-known, tributary dales which many people never even discover - dales of steeply wooded slopes, rushing streams and waterfalls.

WHAT TO SEE

Wensleydale has long been a favourite with walkers and cyclists and indeed the Pennine Way passes through the Dale, as does the Yorkshire Dales Cycle Way. But there are so many other ways to while away the time here that you may find you are spoilt for choice! Fishing, wind surfing, potholing, pony trekking, bird watching are just a few of the outdoor activities you can enjoy here.

WHERE TO EAT & DRINK

There are lots of places to eat in the area and locally produced food is an important element in many menus. Our breakfast menu, for example, sources as much local produce as possible. We provide below a sample of just some of the wonderful eating places in and around Wensleydale and its neighbouring Yorkshire Dales.
