Situated in a quiet backwater away from the hustle and bustle of daily life Stoney End is a Grade 2 Listed Building dating back to the seventeenth century, originally providing a barn for the neighbouring farm house. It was converted in 1990 and is now our family home as well as providing stunning guest accommodation within the tiny hamlet of Worton, near Askrigg in Wensleydale. In addition to the usual home comforts, we also offer the following for the use of our guests:

The house has been lovingly furnished and decorated with great attention to detail to create a cosy and relaxed ambience with a real home-from-home feeling. Real log fires when the weather's cool and comfortable seating you can relax in - it's the little things that make the difference, and at Stoney End there's something interesting to look at around every corner!

The Bedrooms

All three of our guest rooms provide all the modern comforts you would expect:

Wensleydale - for a touch of Romance!

Wensleydale has been recently re furnished and redecorated. It is now a gorgeous romantic room with a lovely designer, iron, king sized double, four-poster bed with beautiful crisp white linen. The new ensuite shower room is accessed via its own tiny flight of stairs beside the four-poster bed.

Ellerkin - a room with a view

This double room has a king-sized bed and a smart, private bathroom which boasts a large, Victorian rolltop bath with power shower over. There is also a hand basin in the bedroom. Light-toned carpet, furnishings and decorations give this bedroom a light and airy atmosphere. As its name suggests, this room enjoys a lovely view over the dale to Ellerkin Scar.

Yoredale - ground-floor bedroom

Yoredale is our only room on the ground floor, but it does have two steps down in to the room. It has a super king-sized bed which can also be used as a twin, a sitting area with comfortable leather sofa and armchair, and lovely views over the dale. The en-suite shower room is modern and spacious.
